Shipping Policy
All products are normally despatched within 7 working days of successful completion of payment.
All products up to 2kgs and no more than 1.2m in length are usually shipped with Royal Mail on a First Class or Standard Parcels service, therefore the terms of service are as published by Royal Mail and may be subject to change from time to time.
For small packets and parcels the service will usually be delivery in 1-3 days from the date of confirmation of shipping, this confirmation will be via email to the email address used when ordering.
Packages and items that exceed the terms for the above delivery service will be shipped via a courier on a 48hr basis from the date of confirmation of shipping, this confirmation will be via email to the email address used when ordering.
Upto 31.5 kgs we will use a third party who subcontract the delivery to DHL, as shipping prices are constantly under review in the current climate of rising fuel costs all prices will be as per the rate quoted by our site at the time of ordering. Orders with a total weight exceeding 31.5 kgs will display prices based on an additional charge per parcel in bands of 31.5 kgs or part thereof.
Please Note: Some items are too heavy to ship as a single parcel and may therefore have to be split into two parcels, this will constitute 2 deliveries and therefore the order will be shipped as two consignments with an additional charge, this can lead to some orders becoming cost prohibitive and in these cases customers will be offered the chance to canel their order for a full refund or pay the additional shipping, however in some circumstances 4furryfeet.com may wave this charge
Shipping Estimator: To estimate shipping costs prior to registering or login simply add all the products you wish to purchase to your cart, then go to your cart using any of the links throughout the store, here you will see a shipping estimator, enter the delivery postcode to obtain an estimate of shipping costs, these will be confirmed during checkout, entering a different postcode into the estimator than that used during checkout may produce different results.
Where possible we aim to use Royal Mail as our primary carrier, they are still the most cost effective and reliable service to encompass the whole of the UK and in many cases the delivery will be completed by a Post person who is operating in an environmentally friendly way, i.e. on foot or by bicycle, except in remote areas where use of a motorised vehicle is essential.
We do not make any profit from the shipping charges they are passed on at cost, we do however charge for packaging where necessary, in the unlikely event that a cheaper alternative carriage method is identified 4furryfeet.com reserve the right to amend the method and refund the difference in cost to you the customer, this refund will be made using the same method from which payment was received.
Returns Policy
At 4furryfeet.com we are committed to giving you the best possible products, prices and service.
Due to our purchasing policies it is possible that an item shown as in stock on our site may actually be out of stock at the time of ordering, however this indicates that fresh stocks of the item are due within 5-7 working days. Very occasionally these products will take much longer than expected to return to stock or may even be discontinued by our suppliers, in these circumstances 4furryfeet.com will dispatch any remaining items on an order and refund the full cost of all of the out of stock and/or discontinued items plus any difference in shipping costs.
4furryfeet.com reserve the right to substitute out of stock or discontinued products for a product of similar size and shape but of a different colour or design, in all instances the substitute product will be of equal or higher value.
Should any product purchased from 4furryfeet.com be found to be faulty, damaged in transit, or differing from the description given at the 4furryfeet.com website then we will be pleased to arrange to either refund or replace the product at the discretion of the customer. All returns must be notified to 4furryfeet.com within 7 days of delivery of the product.
In the event of a customer purchasing an item from 4furryfeet.com mistakenly and through no fault of 4furryfeet.com, we will be pleased to replace or refund the item provided that the original item is returned to 4furryfeet.com unused and in saleable condition. In cases where the customer is either unable or unwilling to arrange return carriage after mistakenly purchasing a product, 4furryfeet.com reserves the right to charge an uplift fee to cover the cost of employing a courier company to collect the item from the customer. In cases where an order is returned, we reserve the right to retain the cost of the outward carriage.
In all circumstances the product must be in it's unopened and original packaging, in cases of faulty goods no packaging is expected, for goods damaged in transit we must be notified within 24hrs and the damaged product and packaging must be retained for investigation by the carrier, or until instructed otherwise by 4furryfeet.com, for fragile items such as fish tanks these must be inspected before accepting the delivery or signed for as unchecked.
To expedite replacement in some cases a customer may opt to complete a new purchase with store credit or refund being issued upon receipt of the incorrect or faulty item in line with this policies terms and conditions.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
